How does a scratch-off map work?

Each resort, course, or destination on the map is covered with a gold or silver scratch-off foil. After you visit one, scratch it off with a coin to reveal the artwork underneath. Over time, your map becomes a personal record of everywhere you've been.

Who are scratch-off maps a good gift for?

Anyone who loves being outside and keeping score: skiers and snowboarders chasing new resorts, golfers working through a state's best public courses, hikers and road-trippers ticking off national parks and outdoor destinations. They're a favorite for Christmas, Father's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, graduations, retirements, and housewarmings — especially for the person who "already has all the gear." Most maps are $30–$45 unframed, and pair well with an Adventure Journal for trip notes.

Which map should I choose?

Match the map to their pursuit: the Top 50 USA Ski Resorts map for skiers and riders who travel, a state ski map (Colorado, California, Utah) for someone loyal to their home mountains, a Top 50 public golf courses map for golfers, an Outdoor Adventure map for hikers and campers, or the US National Parks map for road-trippers. What sizes are the maps?

The Scratch-Off Top 50 USA Ski Resorts Map comes in two designs: Horizontal (24" x 18") and Vertical (18" x 24"), printed on premium glossy 300gsm stock. State maps (ski resorts, golf courses, and outdoor adventure) are 16" x 20", printed on heavyweight cardstock. Every map is designed and made in the USA.

Do the maps come framed?

Framing is optional on most maps. The USA Top 50 Ski Resorts maps offer Walnut Wood and Natural Oak frames; state maps offer a Black Wood frame. Framed orders qualify for free shipping. You can also order any map unframed.

How were the Top 50 ski resorts chosen?

From over 480 US ski resorts, we ranked by measurable facts — acreage, elevation, and number of runs — plus average snowfall and snow quality, personal shredding experience, and the Stoke Factor.

How do you research the featured destinations on your other maps?

Every map starts with deep research on its state or region. We combine the measurable data — course rankings and accessibility for our public golf maps, trail stats, visitation, and terrain variety for our outdoor adventure maps — with firsthand trips, local knowledge, and input from the communities that know these places best. The goal is always the same mix: the icons everyone should experience once, and the hidden gems locals would gatekeep if they could.

Can I request a custom map or a state you don't carry?

Yes — we love hearing which state or region you want next. Email hello@mcsenderson.com with your request. Customer requests directly shape which maps we make next.

Do you make a world or Europe ski map?

Not yet — world and Europe ski maps are on our product roadmap, likely coming in 2027. Want one sooner? Email hello@mcsenderson.com and tell us; demand moves things up the list.

How fast is shipping?

Orders ship within 2 business days from our studio in Arizona, most the same business day. US delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after shipping. You'll get a tracking number by email. Posters are shipped flat, never rolled.

Is shipping free?

Shipping is free on US orders of $50 or more. Below that, shipping is calculated at checkout based on size and destination.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. International delivery times vary by country and carrier. Customs fees or import duties are the responsibility of the customer.

What is your return policy?

Because posters and specialty prints are difficult to ship back, we don't accept general returns. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email hello@mcsenderson.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we'll send a replacement at no cost. Need to cancel? Contact us within 24 hours of purchase.
